Lori Young Bio PictureWith over 20 years of experience in the restoration industry, Lori remains in the day-to-day operations of evaluating, estimating and consulting on insurance claims which allow her to stay current with industry standards.

As a trainer, Lori specializes in contents estimating, Xactimate, division management, risk, liability, specialty cases, and design. With today’s growing industry, designing your team for success is one of the industry’s largest challenges.   Her work includes training and knowledge for insurance adjusters and the “what-to-do” with just about any situation you may run into while handling a contents loss.

Certifications and Qualifications

Lori is a Certified Restorer and has over 20 years of experience in the restoration industry.  She holds an IICRC Master Certification in Smoke and Fire along with a CR (Certified Restorer) title with the RIA, is currently on the RIA Contents Council and presents to numerous companies on the subject of contents restoration and emerging technologies within the industry.

In addition, consulting on various specialty cases and being called in on high end and unique losses such as collectable toys and high volume “out of the box” cases are her niche.

She has specialized knowledge in the cleaning and restoration of soft contents using the latest techniques and equipment for the industry in our state of the art facility.  This hands-on expertise allows her to successfully transform the contents process into a stand-alone division within restoration companies. Utilizing the latest technology such as: Ultrasonic Cleaning, multiple deodorization methods, aqueous cleaning for electronics and Esporta ES3300; Lori operates a large contents division that has learned to successfully manage the pitfalls that most companies struggle to overcome.

Lori Young has been a great blessing to American Family Housing and our homeless clients. Through her management of Bartwood Construction she has donated dozens of apartments full of furniture.  Through her training as an American sign language instructor she enabled a deaf couple, and their 3 children to successfully complete life skills classes, graduate our transitional program and ultimately go from living in a 4 door sedan to buying a 3 bedroom home. Through her commitment, training and enthusiasm she has been teaching and motivating homeless shelter clients by teaching in our life skills program.
